just load a new game and use the skip button till u get to ur scene it'll take up some time but thats the best i can recommend to you doing btw alwasy check on ur battery so u doesn't loss ur progress and save it every like 30mins

Like any apk installed software. You just run the new apk and it will patch itself.
do you just download a new one or do you just run the old one?
You download the new version ofcourse. Can't patch if you don't have the code and asset.
Just download the latest version without uninstalling the previous version. It should automatically update your game
