Haha I came here to post the same comment. I was stuck at this frame since version 3.0 I thought it was a bug. I came back for 3.5 thinking it was maybe fixed just to find your message. God(desses) truly exist.
(Although, if we are many that are stuck on this part, it might be an indication of a flaw in game design.)
On PC, just download the new one and open it, your saves should appear there. In android, you install without deleting the previous version, It will give you the option to update it.
For me on pc when this happens I usually have to go to the website for itch.io then download from there which will download the file to either a file of your choice (will lose progress and have to restart if you already have game progress) or it will go to C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\itch\apps then just extract the file, open the file, and lauch via the application exe.
Progress shouldn't disappear when updating in Android, unless you do the uninstall-reinstall technique when updating. That is not how you update something in Android, unless GW's signatures change for every version, for whatever reason.
EDIT: Further confirmation shows that GW does NOT change signatures every version.
And here is how you update GW on Android, if you have an old version:

I made an Itch.io account only to writte this. I have donwloaded this game and finished all what its to play(even the events) and i have to say it was maybe the best experience i ever had in a game like this. All the story, the jokes, everything. I never thinked i could Cry with a lwd videogame. This game was really worth playing and donating to it. Im very happy with what you made, and i will keep waiting the new updates you will make to this so keep enjoying an awesome adventure like this. I wish there could be more games like this ;) (also srry for bad english, i needed to say something good abt this game, congratulations)

This story literally had me laughing out loud brought a tear to my eye and made my jaw drop in shock. Thank you SOOO much for the work and dedication that you put into this game literally have been eyeballing your the patreon just to support you even if it didn't have the perks that you offer. How do I update the game??

Probably intentional. It's a repeatable scene, isn't linked to any missions or character N/H-Events, and is related to affection points instead.

You should be able to use the ladder in the morning to get to the roof.
